I did hours of research to find the right drafting chair for my office which is a highly visible room in the front of our home. Often searches led me to what looked like poor quality chairs that didn't adjust high enough (30-31" seat height.) And many were very tech looking and did not work aesthetically. After reading many positive reviews about Laura Davidson Direct I found the best looking, highest quality chair with the right height range AND at a reasonable price point. The chair arrived via expedited shipping. Once unboxed I had a quick question for customer service and they responded via email within hours. Laura Davidson Direct stands by their promise of satisfaction. Hands down this is the right company to buy from!

I never realized how extensive in quality and craftsmanship drafting chairs can go; never mind that there are chairs out there that range in the thousands. I guess I never put much thought into it before as this is my first time acquiring a drafting chair for my new adjustable desk. After countless hours of researching of every damn drafting chair on the market, I kept coming back to this one in the white. Which is the exact color I wanted and of course it’s the color that has limited options in comparison to all the black ones on the market. The steep $460 price tag on Amazon stopped me from taking the plunge because as a single mother trying to stay afloat, I just couldn’t justify spending that kind of money on a chair. More days into research later, I come across the chair on Laura’s website for only $400. That’s $60 less then what Amazon is trying scam people out of! So, I kept the tab saved in my phone and my search continued another couple of days. Trying to find something comparable for maybe half the price instead but suffer in quality. That was until today, 5/3/2022 when I clicked the website again and to my surprise the chair was at a discounted price with a 10% off coupon code. I just paid $360 for the drafting chair that Amazon is charging $460 for. Unbelievable! I also was able to use the app “Affirm” so I can pay it off interest free in smaller amounts over the course of a few weeks. Perfect! Literally as I’m typing this review, Lauradavidsondirect just texted me that the chair has already shipped!! How is that even possible?!? I just ordered it legit 15 mins ago. Hahaha. Wow. Incredibly fast! They get 5 stars for that alone. lol. I will definitely update this review once it gets here, put it together and test it out. Oh yeah, promise this is the last thing I swear! If you’re in the market for a high quality, ridiculously affordable adjustable desk, do what I did and order a “Husky Adjustable work table” from Home Depot. Got a 52 inch table “desk” for $240. Seriously, it’s the best kept secret as its actually suppose to be a tool work bench table and not necessarily a computer desk but the brand Husky makes high quality products and tools. The table is 2 inches thick, a real slab of wood and not some cheap particle board **** produced in china like I’ve seen with every other adjustable desk that they’re trying to charge $500+ for. You can thank me later… hahaha.

I’m an interior architect and I’ve been looking for an architectural drafting chair for months, so finally I started looking at drafting chairs on amazon but got disappointed with the designs well lack of designs offered by all the companies out there, so I started to look online and typed in a search for mid century modern drafting chairs and up popped this one, to my sheer suprise it was a great price too! When it arrived I was impressed at the amazing quality of the chair, heavy and very well made for the price, I’m so impressed!! I’d buy another in a heartbeat and I I’ve already recommended and shared this chair with my design friends! And when you think about it I design copy of a Herman Miller chair for 300 bucks is a steel chairs are so expensive, especially ergonomic comfortable solid chairs and this one takes all the boxes do not hesitate you will not be disappointed I promise you!!
