Return Policy

30 Day RISK FREE Returns*

We realize you're buying a chair online without ever having sat upon it. Don't worry! We want you to be happy with your purchase, and we understand it can't just look great - it has to feel great as well.

Once you receive your chair, set aside the box and packing materials and take the next few weeks to sit in it, sleep in it, lounge in it -- whatever it is you normally do. Test it out, and make sure it's up to par with what you need it for. If for any reason, it doesn't work for you, just e-mail us, and arrange for it to be returned. As long as you didn't spill wine or a milkshake on it, and it's still in like new condition, we'll take it back!

Here’s how it works: If you need to return a product, we’ll cover the cost of your return shipping for a single item within 30 days of your order. There are certain exclusions for this policy which are listed below, but essentially, this allows you to purchase an item with no risk or hassles if you decide it’s not what you were expecting!

Tips to avoid returns:

  • Measure your desk or dining table height prior to purchasing. Most of our chairs are designed for standard table/desk heights of 28 - 31 inches.
  • Buy a single chair to test before ordering in volume. Although many of our designer clients repeatedly buy in bulk, it never hurts to buy one chair to test if you’re a first time customer. Chances are, you’ll end up buying more.
  • If you have any special questions or are unsure of the specifications on our products, please give us a call or e-mail before ordering, and we'll give you a quick answer!

  • *Risk Free Return Terms and Conditions:

  • Free returns are only offered for customers living in the lower 48 US states, and for items purchased directly through
  • The free return policy covers the return cost of a single item and is limited to one free return per business or household.
  • If ordering multiple items, and you need to return all items, we'll cover the return cost of your first item, and provide discounted return labels for the remaining items.
  • If purchasing an item that is sold as a set of 2, that set of 2 is considered a single item.
  • Return labels will be issued via e-mail directly through Laura Davidson Direct.
  • Returns should be dropped off at a FedEx authorized drop off location. You may request us to schedule a FedEx pickup for an additional $15.00 fee. Packages marked "refused" or "return to sender" are not accepted.
  • Returns must be received in our warehouse no later than 30 days from the date your order is delivered.
  • Returns must arrive in brand new condition to receive a refund - no scratches, scuffs, dirt, etc. Returned items must be properly packaged with the original box and packing materials to avoid damage, as originally received.
  • Returns that are damaged as a result of improper re-packaging will not be refunded or returned to the customer.
  • Any applicable refunds will be refunded to the original payment method on file. (Credit Card, PayPal, Apple Pay, etc.)
  • Free returns are granted at the sole discretion of Laura Davidson Direct.

  • After the 30 day return period has passed, all sales are final, but don't worry - your chair is still covered under warranty!


    In the unlikely event that you receive a product that is incorrect, missing parts, or damaged -- we'll send you a replacement at no additional cost. Simply e-mail us, and we'll quickly resolve any problems. You may even receive a heartfelt poem expressing our sincere apologies. Replacements generally leave the warehouse within 1 business day of being requested.


    All of our chairs are covered with a minimum 2 year warranty when purchased directly through our website. Our warranties cover any technical malfunctions that may occur during the coverage period. Warranty applies for both commercial and residential use. The warranty does not cover damage to items due to neglect or carelessness, and does not cover dirt or dye transfer from clothing. In the rare event that you have a warranty issue, please send us an e-mail with a description and pictures of the issue. If the chair is found to be covered, we will send replacement parts or replace the chair at our discretion.
