Great chair

Sturdy and stylish. It looks great in my bedroom, and I really like how this chair maneuvers and adjusts to what I want. I will say, it is somewhat smaller than I expected it to be, but I ended up loving the size so that is only an observation. happy with my purchase!

SOHO Soft Pad - By far more comfortable than expected.

This chair continues to exceed my expectation. Purchased 1-black & 1-brown for our 'new normal' working from home back in late May. Got frustrated with the junk purchased from the internet wholesalers. I was skeptical these were more stylish than functional. Figured the claimed 60 day trial would outweigh the risk. After almost 90 days, I have thrown out the shipping box! We both work from home now and spend all day in these and are not showing any degradation in performance. I have spent more on chairs that have the padding fail in very short time. My home office chair is now better than the company provided chairs! The pros: much better quality than any other box store chair, sturdy, comfortable with just the right amount of padding and support in the right places. The lower arms fit under the desk at lowest setting, and are removable. I will be taking this chair to work, if we ever get back to normal. Cons: I am 5 -10 and think the seat height at the lowest setting is a bit to tall. I feel this is an oversight where style has exceeded function. A compromise should be made; a fully raised 22" seat height is a bit much. I adjust throughout the day to change pressure points on the back and legs. Neutral: I started with the armrests installed and removed them because the narrow edges at the thighs were annoying and the chair would squeak (*as others have stated) no matter how tight the attachment screws were. I feel this is easily resolved if the spacers were made from a metallic material or use a fiber washer? The chair that was replaced did not have armrests anyway so not a big deal for me. If the armrest is removed, there should be an option to have a cap/plug to cover the threaded holes. This is an easy to fix issue Laura should address Summary: I love the chair and I am OCD about everything. The minor issues should not distract anyone from buying. These are more or less personal opinions. The quality, ordering, shipping, packaging and quality is great. I will definitely be buying another Laura chair for the office if/when we get back to pre-COVID normal.

Nice chair, just not right for me.

I have back problems and purchased this chair because of the reviews and because I wanted something that looked nice for my home office. Having said that, I found the leather very stiff and the chair uncomfortable (they told me the leather softens with time). It does force you to sit up straight which is a good thing but clearly not what I need for my back (still searching, sadly). The customer service team was fabulous and gave me a full refund before they received my return. I would like to shop here again if I can find something that works for me.

Stylish and comfy

LOVE this chair! Great color, great texture, and it's a breeze to put together. Looks both vintage and elegant and gets me comfortably through 8+ hours at the computer every day. If you're on the fence, go for it! I don't usually write reviews but I loved this chair so much I just had to. :)

A good-looking chair that provides support

Cons: 1) As the reviews mention, the arm rests ARE low. I'm 5'10". If I completely relax my shoulders, and hold my forearms at a 90 degree angle, they're 3-4 inches above the arm rests. Maybe low arm rests look cool in chairs? On the flip side, this chair can scoot under pretty much any table, and not have the arm rests prevent that from happening. 2) Assembly requires plastic spacers as a major joint between the arm rests and the body of the chair. Also plastic chrome end caps to cover the screw holes for arm rests. Feels like I can't screw the arm rests in ultra tight, since that may crack those spacers. Pros: Provides decent back support and doesn't look like a Star Trek space capsule like 99% of office chairs that hail back support.
